Ensure the Tap is capable of connecting
- To connect, your Tap must be on and within range (10 feet) of your device.
- Make sure your Tap is charged and powered on. You can turn on your Tap by pressing the thumb button once. When powering ON the Tap will vibrate once for every 33% of battery the device has to its charge. When powering OFF the Tap with only vibrate once.
- Make sure the Tap is in Pairing mode as indicated by the quickly blinked LED (1-2 blinks/second, similar to a car blinker)
- If your PC doesn't see your Tap, try connecting your Tap to another device to determine if the problem is a hardware or software issue.
In Windows 8.1
- Turn on your Tap.
- Select the Start button > type Bluetooth > select Bluetooth settings from the list.
- Turn on Bluetooth > select the device > Pair.
- Select your Tap device
Your Bluetooth device and PC will usually automatically connect anytime the two devices are in range of each other with Bluetooth turned on.

Turn on your Tap

Turn on Bluetooth on your PC if it's not on already. To do this, select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and turn on Bluetooth.
You can also use action center to turn on Bluetooth. To do this, on the taskbar, select action center > Bluetooth.Note
If Bluetooth is not available in action center, select the Start button, then select Settings > System > Notifications & actions. Under Quick actions, select Add or remove quick actions and turn on Bluetooth.

In action center, select Connect and then select your Tap.
