The Tap 2 has a unique feature called Standby Mode. This feature allows you to pause input using a tap command while keeping the Tap on and paired to the device.
To enable Standby mode, first locate the Standby Mode slider in TapManager under settings. Note, this slider is only visible when a Tap 2 or Tap Strap is paired. To use standby with TapXR, you can follow this guide: How Do I Turn the TapXR On and Off or Use Standby?
Once enabled, enter Standby by placing the mouse glider on a surface and then double tapping the H command (oxxxx right handed or xxxxo left handed). You will feel a slight haptic indicating the command was successful and input will be paused until you enter this command again. You may also turn the device off while in standby mode using power button. Standby will be disabled upon powering back on via the power button.
If you are having trouble activating or deactivating standby mode, try moving the mouse glider on the surface briefly before inputting the Double H command. Mouse mode does not have to be enabled for this feature to work.
